Knockout Pro
The fast knockout and soft print-prep tool for DTF and DTG printers. Remove unwanted colors, create clean transparency and prepare softer, more breathable prints without wrestling with complicated separation software.
What it does
Remove a color, keep the rest.
Knockout Pro removes a selected color from your artwork by reducing that color's alpha to transparency — useful for removing white or black backgrounds, creating garment-show-through effects, preparing vintage or distressed artwork, and reducing unnecessary printed areas.
- Artwork eyedropper — pick any color directly from your upload
- Perceptual color-tolerance matching, not a raw RGB cutoff
- Edge softness for a controlled, non-harsh transparency boundary
- Before / after split view with an interactive divider
- Zoom to 400% with pixel-accurate inspection
- Garment color preview — visualization only, never exported
- Transparency coverage statistics
- Preserves existing transparency in PNG and WebP sources
- Converts JPG uploads to a transparent PNG on export
- Local browser processing — nothing is uploaded
How it works
Upload, pick, adjust, export.
Opening the app takes you to a native DTF Toolbox page — everything below runs in your browser, no account or upload to a server required.
- Step 01
Upload
Drop in a PNG, JPG, or WebP.
- Step 02
Pick color
Sample a color from the artwork, or start from a White or Black preset.
- Step 03
Adjust tolerance
Dial in color tolerance and edge softness until the knockout looks right.
- Step 04
Inspect & export
Check the before/after split, then download a transparent PNG.
Scope
What Knockout Pro is not.
Knockout Pro is a fast single-color knockout tool, not a full color-separation engine — it does not do layers, channel-by-channel separation, spot color plates, or multi-color trapping. It shows a transparency coverage statistic, which is an image statistic, not a measurement of actual printer ink savings, and it does not promise guaranteed breathability or universal compatibility with every RIP. Always test a small sample before production.
